Roadlab carried out all soils and concrete testing on site with a particular focus on the concrete. 800 cubic meters of concrete was cast each day and it was our responsibility to ensure the quality, workability and strength of all concrete sent to site while monitoring strict temperature controls on the batching temperature of the concrete.

Roadlab was appointed by HHO Consulting Engineers to assist in the testing and sampling of concrete pavement slabs within the port terminals. Data received would enable benchmarking of stiffness’s of the various layers to include in a pavement loading analysis to derive pavement-strengthening options for improved container stacking efficiency.

Roadlab assisted in the construction of over 2000 housing units and performed compressive strength testing on concrete, as well as soil and gravel testing of constructed layer works and mix designs to improve the structural integrity and soundness of soil & gravel construction materials.

Roadlab was appointed by REDEC to assist in the testing of concrete silos at the Sasko mill in Malmesbury. The cores were drilled at key locations identified by the client using thermal imaging cameras fixed to drones. The drones identified hotspots indicating cracks in the concrete silos.
