Our teams are conducting important bridge investigations in Makhado Local Municipality this week.

Roadlab teams are contributing to improvement projects in Limpopo's Makhado Local Municipality this week. 

We will be performing concrete testing on 4 bridges around the Letaba, Xilovolo and Makhuvule rivers using non-invasive and non-destructive technology (NDT).

This will include testing the integrity of the concrete by locating cracks, voids, honeycombing, and other defects inside the structures. We will also be performing rebar mapping, allowing us to to determine the distribution of rebar inside the structures.

Once our work is done, structural engineers will have the confidence to begin drafting plans to widen the roads that these bridges support.
